With this function, you can change presets for the audio system.
- Show volume control in taskbar
The button
will be shown on the taskbar. Click on this button to show the volume control. (default)
The button
will not be shown. The user must start the Audio Settings function to change the volume. Further information can be found under Using “Audio Settings” function.
- Remote Volume Settings
The settings for the parameters Mute, PCM Volume, Mute recording and Input Volume will be restored after each system start. The aforementioned parameters are only effective if Remote Volume Settings is enabled.
The last settings made by the user will remain after the next system start. (default)
- Mute
Audio playback is off.
Audio playback is on. (default)
- PCM Volume: Preset volume in percent. (default: 50)
- Input Mute
The audio input is muted. Sounds from a microphone that are recorded are not transferred via the thin client.
The audio input is switched on. Sounds from a microphone that are recorded can be transferred via the thin client. (default)
- Input Volume: Volume in percent at which sounds at the audio input are recorded - for example, from a microphone. (default: 100)
Default sound output
- Port name
Possible options: - Automatic: The audio output is assigned to a device automatically. The following order of priority applies:
1. USB devices
2. PCI devices; this includes the HDMI interface.
3. Internal speaker
Ports which are not connected are ignored. - HDMI / DisplayPort
- Speakers
- Headphones
- Device Name: Name of the device as displayed in the tab Output of the Sound Preferences dialog; see Using "Sound Preferences" Function. The name should be self-explanatory. Examples: "Built-in Audio", "Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000"
- Port Name
Possible options: - Automatic: The audio output is assigned to a device automatically. The following order of priority applies:

2. PCI devices

- Headset microphone
