Menu path: Setup > System > Remote Access > RSH Access

Here you can enable and configure remote access to the thin client via RSH.

Access and password settings for various users can be made under Security > Password.

  • Allow remote access to applications: Enables access via RSH.
  • Predefined List of Remotely Accessible Applications: By default access is allowed to Setup and Local Terminal. Use the Modify button to change the settings for these items:
    • Allow remote access to [application]: Activate this option to allow access.
    • Enable access restriction: Restrict access to a specific Remote-Host (FQDN) and/or Remote User.
  • User Defined List of Remotely Accessible Applications: Here you can register your own applications that will have remote access enabled.

Click to create a new entry.

Click to change the settings of an existing entry:

  • Application: Enter the absolute Linux path to the executable, e.g. /bin/bash for Bash.
  • Allow remote access: Activate this option in order to allow remote access.
  • Enable access restriction: Restrict access to a specific Remote-Host (FQDN) and/or Remote User.
  • Enable root access: If you restrict access root will be denied access unless you allow it explicitly.
