Here you can create a snapshot of the current system.

Leave domain before snapshot: Enable this option if the snapshot file is to be ported to another device and the device is joined to a domain.
The device will be taken from the domain before the snapshot is created.

The device will remain in the domain. (Default)

Activate Windows after snapshot upload/download (see Windows Activation)
 Windows will be activated automatically after the snapshot is uploaded. (Default)

 Windows will not be activated automatically.

Windows activation timeout (in seconds): Timeout in seconds for Windows activation attempts during the upload. If all attempts have failed within the timeout period, no further attempt will be made. (Default: 60)

Protocol: Protocol with which the snapshot file is uploaded to a server or saved in a local directory.
Possible values:

  • File: The snapshot file will be saved locally, e.g. on a USB storage device. 
A local storage device must be NTFS formatted. It needs to have 32 GB of free space. USB hard drives which Windows does not recognize as 'removable media' cannot be used for this purpose.
  • SMB: The snapshot file will be saved to a Windows network drive.
  • HTTP: The snapshot file will be saved to a WebDAV server (e.g. UMS).
  • HTTPS: The snapshot file will be saved to a WebDAV server (e.g. UMS) with transport encryption.
  • FTP: The snapshot file will be saved to a FTP server.

File name: File name of the snapshot file on the local storage device.

Name of firmware for new snapshotThis name will appear in in its own field in UMS.

New Snapshot: Reboots the device, creates the snapshot file and saves it to the specified location.

Additional Fields for the SMB Protocol

Server: Host name or IP address of the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.

Path: Share name on the server under which the snapshot file is saved.

User name: User name for the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.

To supply a domain alongside the user name, use the following pattern: DOMAIN\Username.


Password
: Password for the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.

Additional Fields for the HTTP and HTTPS Protocols

Server: Host name or IP address of the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.

Path: Directory path for the snapshot file on the server. (Default: ums_filetransfer)

Port: Port of the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded. (Default: 9080 for HTTP, 8443 for HTTPS)

Proxy: Host name or IP address of the proxy.

Port: Port of the proxy. (Default: 1080)

User name: User name for the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.

Password: Password for the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.

Additional Fields for the FTP Protocol

Server: Host name or IP address of the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.

Port: Port of the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded. (Default: 21)

Path: Directory path for the snapshot file on the server. (Default: ums_filetransfer)

User name: User name for the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.

Password: Password for the server to which the snapshot file will be uploaded.
