  The need for such a device is due to the fact that a usb printer in some cases does not always get named /dev/usblp0 - even if it's the only one.
  Note: With more than one usb printer connected at the same time, /dev/usblp should not be used but rather a device specific name based on usb ids, the usb port, or a usb class based device selection.
