How to Add a Comment to a Product Pack in the ILP
To help organize and manage your licenses more efficiently, the IGEL License Portal (ILP) allows you to add comments to individual Product Packs. These comments are searchable and can be updated at any time.
Adding or Editing a Comment
There is currently no comment history or versioning. Updating a comment will overwrite the previous one.
Log in to IGEL Customer Portal at https://support.igel.com/csm and open the ILP.
Your dashboard is displayed. From here, you have two options described below.
Option 1: Add a Comment via the Licenses Tab
Open Licenses from the left-hand navigation menu.
Click the Subscription Key that contains the Product Pack you want to add a comment to.
The detail view opens.
Locate the Product Pack you want to comment on and choose one of the following options to access the comment dialog:
Via the Subscription Key detail view: Click the ellipsis menu (•••) next to the Product Pack and click Edit comment.
b. Via the Product Pack detail view (Hardware page): Click the Product Pack to open its detail view, then click the ellipsis menu (•••) in the top-right corner of the page and click Edit comment.
The dialog “Edit comment of [Product Pack ID]” appears.
Enter your comment in the input field.
Click Save to confirm.
To edit a comment, repeat the same steps and overwrite the current content.
To delete a comment, repeat the same steps, clear the content in the input field and save.
Option 2: Add a Comment via Product Pack Search
In the ILP, go to the search bar at the top.
From the dropdown menu on the left side of the search bar, select Product Packs.
Enter the Product Pack ID in the search bar, or locate the Product Pack in the list of search results after clicking Product Packs.
Click on the Product Pack to open its detail view.
Click the ellipsis menu (•••) in the top-right corner of the page and click Edit comment.
The dialog “Edit comment of [Product Pack ID]” appears.
Enter your comment in the input field.
Click Save to confirm.
Finding Comments
You can find your comment by:
Using the search bar within the relevant Subscription Key where you left a comment. Any matching Product Packs will appear in the results.
Opening the Subscription Key detail view: The comment is shown in the Comment column next to each Product Pack.
