The New IGEL License Portal (ILP 2) - FAQ
This FAQ provides general information about the migration to the new IGEL License Portal (ILP 2) and how it affects your user accounts and licenses. Once ILP 2 is released, all relevant articles in the knowledge base will be updated as well. ILP 2 will go live in Q1 2026.
What will happen to my account(s)?
Your user account will be moved to the IGEL Customer Portal and added to your company there.
If you already have an account, that account will be granted the same permissions as your user account had in the old ILP.
If you do not have a user and company in the IGEL Customer Portal, we will create the account for you.
In order to log in to the newly created account, please reset your password in the IGEL Customer Portal, see Using the IGEL Customer Portal. Use the same email address which you used in the old ILP.
Will all my records and users be moved the same way?
If you are assigned to more than one account, you will be able to select the non-primary accounts via the dropdown in ILP 2.
What will happen to my licenses?
Your licenses will be moved to ILP 2 which you access via the IGEL Customer Portal. There, you will find your licenses including all:
Product Packs,
Subscription Keys,
Orders,
Registered devices,
Comments,
UMS assignments and
UMS IDs.
What do I need to do?
If you already have an IGEL Customer Portal user account before the day of the go-live: no further actions required.
If you do not have a user account in the IGEL Customer Portal: please reset your password in the IGEL Customer Portal, see Using the IGEL Customer Portal. Use the same email address which you used in the old ILP.
Make sure to update your bookmarks to https://support.igel.com/ to access ILP 2 once released.
Will there be a downtime?
We expect one weekend, from Friday 6 PM CET until Monday 12 PM CET, of downtime. We will provide updates closer to the release.
