Enrollment of Certificates

This is an overview of the files and hosts involved in certificate enrollment:

Three files are required:

• SSL client private key
• SSL client certificate
• CA certificate

  
  

The thin client needs all three files. The Caradigm authentication server requires only the SSL client certificate for SSL certification validation.

These are the steps for rolling out the certificates:

• Basic configuration
• Download of the CA certificate
• Getting the CA certificate from Windows server
• Requesting the client certificate
• Getting the private client certificate from CA
• Sending all certificates to the thin client
• Posting the public certificate to Caradigm
• Communication between thin client and Caradigm appliance
