Expired EMP license message after evaluation keeps popping up saying "Your EMP license has expired"

Description

EMP license is included in the evaluation period. However, when the EMP demo license expires, customer will get a message at the lower right corner of the screen that "EMP license has expired" even though they have a production Workspace addition license.

Solution

You need to delete the eval license:

  1. Do perform the following command in terminal on the device:
    cat /license/dsa/licenses/*.lic
  2. Gather the entries between <licensecategory> and </licensecategory>.
  3. Alter "licensecategory" in command underneath for every license you want to get rid of.
    mount -o remount.rw /license; find .| grep -iRl "licensecategory" /license/dsa/licenses/|xargs -l{} rm -rf {}; mount -o remount.ro /license

You can use this command either on the machine self and reboot, or you can create a profile with a custom command, final desktop command, and perform at the next reboot.
