In order to manage endpoint devices via ICG a subscription is required. The duration of an ICG license subscription is 1 year or 3 years. The minimum order quantity is a pack of 10 endpoint device licenses.

The UMS can only handle one ICG Product Pack at a time. If you order additional licenses to connect more thin clients via ICG, the IGEL Service team will send you a replacement license pack.

Customers can top up their running subscription with further packs of 10 endpoint device licenses at a fraction of the full subscription price. Example:

  1. A customer starts with an initial order of 40 endpoint device licenses.
  2. After 25% of the running time the customer buys 10 additional endpoint device licenses at 75% of the price.
  3. After 50% of the running time the customer buys 10 additional endpoint device licenses at 50% of the price.
  4. After 75% of the running time the customer buys 10 additional endpoint device licenses at 25% of the price.
  5. All 70 endpoint device licenses expire at the same time.

When the subscription expires, no connection can be made via ICG.
Each device that connects to the UMS via the ICG at least once is assigned an ICG license. The license is therefore out of the "pool". In order to release the license again, either delete the device from the UMS or release the license via the context menu (right-click on the corresponding device). See Freeing ICG Licenses
