The IGEL App Portal offers a wide range of applications that extend the functionality of IGEL OS. These apps fall into two main types: apps created by IGEL and apps created by IGEL Ready partners. While both app types are available in the IGEL App Portal, there are important differences in ownership, support, maintenance, and responsibility that IGEL customers should understand.

Apps Created by IGEL vs. Apps Created by IGEL Ready Partners
Apps created by IGEL are applications that are developed, maintained, supported and documented directly by IGEL Technology GmbH. For such apps, you can see “IGEL Technology GmbH” in the Author field on the IGEL App Portal. For the description of fields, see “App Details View” under IGEL App Portal.
Apps created by IGEL Ready partners are developed by technology partners who participate in the IGEL Ready program. These partners are responsible for support, maintenance and documentation of their own applications. You can find all such apps on the IGEL App Portal in a separate category - “IGEL Ready”:
