What is New - Knowledge Base Updates for IGEL UMS 12.13.100

In this article you will find a summary of documentation updates with direct links to the updated articles.

You will find the release notes for IGEL Universal Management Suite 12 both as a text file in the same folder as the installation programs on our IGEL App Portal and in the Knowledge Base under https://kb.igel.com/en/universal-management-suite/current/ums-release-notes.

Before the installation / update of the IGEL UMS, please read the documentation How to Start with IGEL.
You cannot manage IGEL OS 12 devices without the UMS Web App. Thus, the UMS Web App must be selected during the installation of the UMS.

List of Profiles Using the Specific App Version

Under Apps > [app name] > Versions, you can now click the profile button to see the list of profiles that use the selected app version. For more information, see Apps - Import and Configure Apps for IGEL OS 12 Devices via the IGEL UMS Web App .

Template Key Support for Tables with Single Columns

You can use template keys for settings that appear as a table with a single value column. For more information, see How to Use Template Profiles in IGEL UMS Web App.

Proxy Configuration for Distributed App Repositories

Action required: Configure the proxy for Distributed App Repositories

With the UMS 12.13.100 release, Distributed App Repositories have a dedicated proxy setting under Apps > Settings > UMS as update proxy > Manage Binary App Repositories, which defaults to None. After the update app repository traffic will not go through a proxy.

Customers who currently route app repository traffic through the Cloud Services proxy, or use a workaround, must configure the proxy setting after the update. Otherwise, DAR communication may no longer work in environments that require a proxy.

For more information, see How to Use Distributed App Repositories in IGEL UMS and Proxy Server Configuration in the IGEL UMS.

Option to Disable Offline Access

Added a Use offline_access scope checkbox to the IdP Configuration sidebar. This option allows administrators to control whether the offline_access scope is included in OpenID Connect authentication requests. The checkbox is enabled by default. For more information, see How to Configure an Identity Provider Client in the IGEL UMS Web App.

MultiSubnetFailover Troubleshooting

Added troubleshooting steps to address UMS connectivity issues with Microsoft SQL Server hosted on Azure infrastructure caused by the MultiSubnetFailover parameter setting. For more information, see Troubleshooting UMS Connectivity and Failover Caused by MultiSubnetFailover in MSSQL in Azure.

Device Cards

Device cards offer three size options (small, medium, large) in the device list, each showing progressively more detail. For more information, see Device Cards.
