In this area, you can define the settings for the connection between the Horizon Client and the server.
Server URL: URL of the VMware Horizon server
Use Passthrough authentication for this session
The user name and password from the Active Directory / Kerberos or Shared Workplace login will be used for authentication with this session.
The user must enter the user name and password for this session.
Username: User name for login to the VMware Horizon server
User password: Password for login to to the VMware Horizon server
Domain: Domain used for login to the VMware Horizon server
Session type: Specifies whether the session contains a desktop or an individual application. Possible values:
Desktop: The session contains a desktop.
Application: The session contains an individual application.
Desktopname: Specifies a name for the desktop. This option is available if Session Type is set to "Desktop".
Application: Application that is launched during the session. This option is available if Session Type is set to Application.
Seamless Application Windows
The seamless window mode is activated. The application windows can be moved freely over the desktop. The look and feel, e. g. the title bar, is generated by the operating system on the server. This feature is available starting with IGEL Linux v5.13.100.
The application windows are positioned within the session window; the look and feel is generated by the local system (thin client).
Autoconnect
The connection to the desktop or application will be established automatically when the session starts. For this to be possible, the name of the desktop or application must be defined.
The overview will be shown when the session starts.
Preferred desktop protocol: The selected option is preferred by the client when negotiating the connection protocol.
