How to Edit the UMS ID in the ILP
The IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS) ID is a certificate generated by each UMS installation and used to uniquely identify that UMS instance in the IGEL License Portal (ILP).
Renaming a UMS ID helps distinguish between multiple UMS installations, especially in environments with test, staging, and production UMS servers. This makes Product Pack assignment and license tracking easier and more organized.
Only the name of a UMS ID can be edited in the ILP.
To update a UMS certificate, use the Customer Portal.
Renaming a UMS ID does not affect assigned Product Packs or license tracking.
Certificate updates are no longer performed in the ILP. To replace or upload a new certificate, go to the Customer Portal.
For instructions on how to get the certificate from the UMS, see How to Export the UMS ID .
