Overview of the IGEL License Portal

The IGEL License Portal (ILP) provides a complete overview of all licenses and subscriptions associated with your company. In addition to visibility, the ILP also provides comprehensive license management features, allowing you to manage product packs, assign and move licenses, work with UMS IDs, and control license usage across your environment.

After signing in, the Dashboard gives you a quick snapshot of license usage and subscription status for the currently selected company.

Starting January 1, 2026, the Workspace Edition license will be replaced by the new IGEL Subscription License (ISL). This only applies to newly purchased licenses. Existing Workspace Edition licenses will remain valid. For this reason, Workspace Edition licenses (WE) and IGEL Subscription Licenses (ISL) are listed separately in the IGEL License Portal (ILP) and cannot be merged. Further information can be found here.

Dashboard

The Hub dashboard opens automatically after login or when you click Hub in the left navigation menu.

image-20260128-144154.png

As part of the IGEL Cloud Services ecosystem, the Dashboard centralizes visibility into licensing activity and subscription health. It presents key metrics in a clear and actionable layout, eliminating the need to switch between multiple views.

It displays:

  • Company name and Global Account ID

  • License utilization charts showing license consumption by product type

  • Licenses grouped by status (for example, Used Licenses, Available Licenses, Expiring & Expired Licenses)

Each bar in the usage chart represents a product type (for example, Workspace Edition or Enterprise Management Pack). Hover over a segment to see detailed counts.

The Dashboard is read-only. License assignment and editing are performed in the Licenses or UMS ID sections.

The ILP Dashboard does not provide license assignment or revocation controls; these actions must be performed under the Licenses or UMS ID menu sections

License Summary

Displays real-time license metrics for the last 30 days:

  • Used Licenses – Total number of licenses consumed

  • Available Licenses – Remaining unassigned licenses

  • Expiring & Expired Licenses – Recently expired or soon-to-expire licenses

Includes color-coded bar charts for:

  • Used Licenses by product type (e.g., EMP, WE, WE Evaluation, ISL)

  • Available Licenses

  • Expiring & Expired Licenses

Hovering over each chart segment reveals the specific license counts per product type.

UMS Licenses

Highlights license consumption activity per UMS instance, specific to Workspace Edition (WE) and Enterprise Management Pack (EMP)

Each UMS License shows:

  • Total assigned licenses

  • Active consumption values in the format assigned/available (e.g., 145/230)

Helpful for identifying capacity usage trends and spotting unusual patterns

  • License categories (examples): EMP, WE, ISL, WE Evaluation. Charts reflect the most recent 30 days and include expiring and expired licenses.

  • UMS Licenses provides a consolidated view of UMS-to-license correlations per customer or unit.

Navigation Menu (Left Panel)

The left-hand menu provides access to all ILP features:

  • Hub – Returns to the Dashboard

  • Licenses – View and manage license information (Product Packs, Subscription Keys)

  • UMS ID – Review current UMS associations and assigned license pools

  • Reports – Generate and download usage reports

  • Redeem – Redeem license codes or subscription tokens

    • This design supports fast, targeted searches across large multi-tenant environments.

  • UMS Feature Level (top right) – Shows the current UMS entitlement level associated with the account.

  • Global Account ID (top right) – Displays the global account identifier associated with your IGEL Cloud Services account.
