First Steps with IGEL License Portal

If you are new to the IGEL License Portal (ILP), this article will guide you through the first steps to take.

Accessing the ILP

You can open the ILP through the IGEL Customer Portal at https://support.igel.com/csm

You register to the ILP together with your IGEL Customer Portal registration. For information on how to register to the IGEL Customer Portal, see Using the IGEL Customer Portal.

Connecting the ILP with the UMS

To connect and authenticate your IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS) to the IGEL License Portal (ILP) the UMS ID is used. The UMS ID is essentially a certificate of your UMS. You need to register the UMS ID using the IGEL Customer Portal as described in Registering the UMS. This will automatically register the UMS ID in the ILP as well.

Users and Roles in the ILP

The IGEL Customer Portal is the central platform to manage users and roles, including the roles for the ILP. For details, see Managing Users and Roles in the IGEL Customer Portal.
