IGEL Cloud Gateway (ICG) and Asset Inventory Tracker (AIT) are solely available in a subscription model. The customer aquires a license for the duration of 1 or 3 years. Licences come in quantities of 10 endpoint devices.

A valid subscription entitles the customer to

  • initially activate the subscription in the IGEL License Portal (ILP) at activation.igel.com, which starts the subscription period,
  • install the latest product release and its predecessors,
  • use the product to register and connect the specified number of devices,
  • obtain free support for the product from the IGEL Help Desk.

On license expiry, the customer cannot continue using the product.

The following allows for added flexibility in ICG licensing:

  • To free licenses, customers may remove devices registered via ICG in the UMS when they no longer need an ICG registration.
  • Within the maintenance period, customers may buy additional licenses for the remaining time.

An ICG license is tied to a specific UMS installation, be it one single host or a cluster, by the unique Cluster ID. This assignment is established when the license is generated in the IGEL License Portal.
