Bonding Group Settings in IGEL OS 12

This article shows how to configure bonding groups in IGEL OS. You can configure four different bonding groups.

Bond mode

The following bond modes are available:

  • Active Backup (Default)

  • Round Robin

  • 802.3ad (LACP)

  • XOR

  • TLB

  • ALB

  • Broadcast

 

Transmit hash policy

This option only becomes available when one of the following bond modes was selected:

  • 802.3ad (LACP)

  • XOR

  • TLB

The following options are available:

  • layer2 (Default)

  • layer3+4

  • layer2+3

  • encap2+3

  • encap3+4

  • vlan+srcmac

 

LACP rate

This option only becomes available when the bonding mode 802.3ad (LACP) is selected.

The following options are available:

  • slow (30s) (Default)

  • fast (1s)

 

Monitoring frequency (ms)

Set the link monitoring frequency in milliseconds. (Default: 100)

 

Bond link monitoring

Set the bond link monitoring method. The following options are available:

  • MII (Media Independent Interface) (Default)

  • ARP (Address Resolution Protocol)

 

ARP targets

This option only becomes available when ARP is set as bond link monitoring method.

Enter the IP addresses that need to be queried to verify a bond connection. IP addresses need to be separated by a comma.

 

Link up delay (ms)

Set the duration in milliseconds when a connection was restored and considered as “active”. (Default: 0)

 

Link down delay (ms)

Set the duration in milliseconds (ms) for a connection being considered as disconnected. (Default: 0)
