Keyboard Sensitivity

This article describes how to configure the keyboard sensitivity.

The settings in this section are only related to accessibility. By clicking on Related pages in the top right corner, you will be redirected to the regular keyboard settings as described in Keyboard Settings in IGEL OS 12.

Test

Free-text area to test the repeat settings.


Repeat keys

☑ Pressing and holding down a key will register repeated events. (Default)

☐ Pressing and holding down a key will register only one event.


Repeat delay

Determines the delay (in milliseconds) before automatic repetition begins. (Default: 660)


Repeat rate

Determines the number of times a character repeats per second. (Default: 40)


Sticky keys

☑ Allows modifier keys and regular keys to be pressed one after another and still be recognized as a combined input.

☐ Modifier keys and regular keys need to be pressed at the same time in order to trigger the event. (Default)


Slow keys

☑ Adds a delay before a keypress is registered. The key must be held down for a set duration to be recognized.

☐ A keypress is registered immediately. (Default)


Slow keys input delay

You can set the delay in milliseconds before the key input is accepted.

This option can only be used when Slow keys is enabled.


Bounce keys

☑ Helps ignore unintentional repeated keypresses by filtering out rapid duplicates.

☐ Rapid, repeated keypresses are interpreted as separate inputs. (Default)
